Toilets are fun!

This afternoon Uly discovered that toilets have water in them that you can play with.
Now saying "up" when we climb the stairs to the side, and yesterday I believe he said a version of "grampa".

We're still eating blueberries off the bush in our backyard. Uly will periodically take me by the hand and lead me out to it when he's hungry.

Right now he's "cleaning out" my desk drawers...

I wish the sound of the camera turning on didn't distract my son. He is sitting in the corner with a pile of books--currently a Rumi--flipping through the pages and sighing before tossing it aside and grabbing the next. Next is Mishima.

I just heard him say "Wow" to science fiction novel with a colorful cover.

Wow indeed...

It's been an amazing few weeks. Seriously. In only the past few days Uly learned to say "more" (thanks gramma Moe), "moo" and "bock-bock". Also thanks to Moe, Uly will shake is head for either yes or no. He has climbed up a small set of stairs and gone down the slide completely on his own, and the most impressive change of all--he is now engaging other adults and children through the sharing of objects. I'm feeling very grateful these days for my healthy, happy son, and for being able to spend this time with him as he changes from baby to toddler... *sniff*

Oh, and he's running from me now. He thinks this is really, really funny and so do I :)
