Leaded or Unleaded?

Yesterday we got a call from Uly's pediatrician informing us that a screening test performed at his 9 month check-up was positive for elevated lead levels (1 point under what is considered cause for concern). This morning we'll be taking him for additional testing for accuracy. This is baffling. Poor kid.

Teething

Teething. It's a wonder any of us get through this. Poor Uly is working hard to get these next chompers out but they are really putting him through it.

Everything New

Uly is asleep so I'll try and update quickly before he wakes...

This has been another week full of "firsts". Uly has been waving hi and goodbye for a few weeks now, but yesterday he said bye-bye to Grandma Moe. He also said Da-da yesterday (which he's been saying casually in addition to Mama), but he said it when he really, really wanted his Daddy. He has also started saying "hey!" as a greeting.

Uly is now awake so I'm gonna have to cut this short. Maybe I'll add more later.

Change of pace

I haven't written much or posted many new pictures lately but that will change soon. Uly has been very busy discovering his independence and until we got gates place around the house I was spending a lot of time re-directing his interests from household dangers... I've also been messing with the camera and have *finally* figured out how to download from camera-to-compy and compy-to-DVD. I am not a mechanical idiot and this has been frustrating and time-consuming. For anyone who might be interested, I like our cheap little Sony Handycam DCR-TRV280 for taking video just fine, but downloading video is a total pain in the you-know-what. The software that comes with it is rotten, rotten, rotten.
